Traditional Shiatsu*

Breast Massage

Breast massage is a respectful manipulation of the soft tissue of the breasts, upper clavicle, underarm and upper arm to alleviate pain and tenderness by reducing the build-up of metabolic congestion. Breast massage is performed for the purpose of decongesting the tissues of the breasts and surrounding area, to increase lymphatic flow, recover possible loss of range of motion of the arm and shoulder and to diminish pain and heaviness of the breasts. Breast massage sessions can also include castor oil packs (clinical hydrotherapy.)

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle hands on therapy that subtly releases physical and emotional tension and restriction due to post-traumatic stress, post-surgical dysfunction, chronic neck and back pain, motor impairment etc. A series of treatments once a week or twice monthly is recommended for maximum benefit.

Cupping

Cupping is the use of glass or plastic “cups” inverted and void  of air wherein a local suction is created on the skin. Cupping is believed to mobilize blood flow in order to promote healing. Cupping is a 5,000 year old treatment, often used along side acupuncture for the treatment of stagnation and dampness and has recently been popularized by Hollywood celebrities.

THE MINERAL FACIAL

All the underpinnings of the foundation facial with a balanced blend of mineral rich seaweed and glacial drift clay. This clay is harvested in Northern British Columbia and reputed for it’s healing properties. It is considered one of the purest and mineral rich clays in the world.  This clay has been virtually untouched since prehistoric glacial drifts and contains more than 60 trace minerals at higher levels than any known mud. In combination with iodine rich seaweed this dynamic combination is spiked slightly with rosemary for its warming action and lemongrass to enhance lymphatic drainage. A facial tea of  mint and plantain herb prepares the skin for the deep dose of minerals. THE NECK

A series of anti-aging treatments focused on the neck; cleansing and invigorating deeply, bringing the tissues increased blood flow and vitality. This treatment keeps the muscles subtle and the tissue free of metabolic waste while also preventing the separation of the superficial fatty layer which causes premature sloping of the skin.

A series of 9 treatments administered over a month* – $350

First week: A 30 minute acupressure massage of the neck for muscle release and assessment, followed by three 45 minute visits of hydrotherapy and rejuvenation oil massage.

Second week: A 30 minute acupressure treatment and reassessment followed by two 45 minute seaweed masks and revitalizing massage treatments.

Third week: Two sessions of castor oil mask for the neck followed by an omega oil massage.
